Safety footwear systems in addition to the properties required for a standard sole material in the polyurethane systems,
it is very important for the safety shoes to have hydrolysis resistance and antistatic properties. In order to have antistatic properties, the electrical resistance of the used polyurethane material should be between 0.1 and 1000 MegaOhm.
In addition, polyurethane sole systems developed for the safety shoes are preferred in cases where the electrostatic charges are distributed to minimize the electrostatic accumulation, and the risk of electric shock that may be caused by the presence of electricity on the bare sections of the electrical devices is not completely eliminated.
